How AI is changing the vulnerability response timeline

Artificial intelligence is providing security researchers with new methods to examine code and identify unusual behaviors. A recent Minimus analysis highlights how container composition and rebuild speed impact responses after an unknown flaw is discovered. In May 2026, the Google Threat Intelligence Group reported the use of AI in developing a zero-day exploit, which bypassed two-factor authentication in a widely used open-source system administration tool. Researchers indicated that an AI model assisted in both the discovery and weaponization of the flaw, emphasizing its significance.
