Alibaba Puts Qwen4 Family Into Training; Roadmap Points to 5–10T Qwen4.5 and Qwen5

Alibaba announced at the 2026 Apsara Conference in Hangzhou that its next-generation foundation model, Qwen 4, is currently in training, according to an English press release dated September 22. The company also unveiled a roadmap for upcoming Qwen 4.5 and Qwen 5 models projected to scale up to 5 to 10 trillion parameters.
