Roland is getting into generative AI music with Melody Flip

Roland has announced the launch of Melody Flip, a new tool leveraging generative AI in music. Available as a plug-in for digital audio workstations, it offers around 250 themed musical collections sorted by genre. Users can start from scratch or use a reference track to generate new melodic ideas. Melody Flip allows users to create a mix of melodies, offering various options like chord progressions, basslines, and drums. Unlike other tools like Suno, Melody Flip does not produce fully polished songs with vocals and complete arrangements, focusing instead on providing musical ideas that can be further developed.
