Apex Intelligence, a Chinese AI startup, launched its first model, Apex-35B-V1.0, on October 28. The model is based on Alibaba's Qwen3.6-35B-A3B and was developed through advanced automated training. The company utilizes its automated research system, Apex Research, to generate training data and enhance performance. For instance, the system improved the model's performance in computational fluid dynamics tasks, raising its evaluation score by 32.1 points. Apex Intelligence claims that AI-driven optimizations increased training speed by 45% to 60%, allowing the model to outperform others like Qwen3.6 and Flint across all tested research benchmarks.
