X Square Robot Launches X2Real: A New Benchmark for Robot Models

X Square Robot has launched X2Real, a benchmark designed to evaluate how robot foundation models perform in real-world scenarios. The benchmark is based on three principles: faithfulness, effectiveness, and fairness, with trajectories recorded from physical robot arms to ensure accurate simulation matching. X2Real includes 44 tasks across 10 categories, covering reasoning, visual understanding, and tool use. A separate challenge set targets precision and planning, with the company noting that many current models still struggle in these areas.
