Andrej Karpathy: The Knowledge Gap in AI is Widening

Andrej Karpathy, co-founder of OpenAI, highlighted that around 75% of the global population has barely interacted with large language models (LLMs). In contrast, only about 5,000 individuals have access to advanced internal systems that utilize AI agents to perform tasks that would take experts years to complete. This gap is evident in the public's perception of AI, which is often limited to interacting with quirky chatbots. While a select few can access internal systems employing agent swarms for complex tasks, the majority only catch a glimpse of AI's true capabilities.
