Tencent's Gander aims to keep talking while it works in the background

Tencent has launched Gander, a system that processes speech, images, and text while performing tasks in the background. It features a 'cerebellum' that keeps conversations flowing, while a swappable 'brain' searches files, writes code, or handles complex tasks. Users can interrupt or change tasks mid-conversation, providing greater flexibility. In benchmarks, Gander interrupted users in only 8% of cases, which is less than its competitors, but it lagged in task accuracy.
