Tencent Launches Hy4: Advanced Language Model with New Capabilities

On November 4, Tencent launched Hy4, the latest generation of its large language models, marking a significant capability leap over the preview version. With this release, Hy4 ranks among the world's most capable open-weight models for the first time. Tencent will soon release the model weights and publish a system card for Hy4. Hy4 significantly expands both data and training scale and introduces new vision capabilities for the first time, enhancing instruction following and long-context understanding. These new capabilities include visual understanding, reasoning, and tool use, enabling the model to analyze information across multiple images.
