As agentic AI adoption accelerates, Rubrik warns of growing security gaps

A new report from Rubrik Zero Labs reveals that the enterprise push towards AI agents is outpacing their ability to secure them. Based on a survey of over 1,600 IT and security leaders, 86% expect AI agents to surpass their organization's security controls within the next year. The report notes that only 23% of respondents claim full visibility into the agents operating in their environments, likely an overestimation. This gap results in an inability to secure identities that are already making decisions and interacting with critical data, while non-human identities linked to agents proliferate faster than organizations can manage.
