Motional and MIT AI explains self-driving car decisions

Researchers from Motional and MIT have developed a system that allows self-driving cars to explain their decisions in real-time, addressing the black-box problem in autonomous vehicle AI. The proposed method, called the Concept-Wrapper Network (CW-Net), translates the internal calculations of a self-driving system’s neural network into human-readable concepts, such as 'Approaching Stopped Vehicle'.
