Tencent Launches Hy4 Preview Open Source AI Model

Tencent has launched a beta version of a new open-source AI model aimed at software engineering, research, and financial analysis. The model, named 'Hy4 Preview', utilizes a 'mixture of experts' design with a total of 770 billion parameters, of which only about 49 billion are used for processing each text request. The company plans to integrate the model into its products, including 'Code Buddy' and 'Work Buddy'. Although the model is in an early release stage, it may take longer than expected to handle complex queries and could over-validate its responses. These challenges indicate a need for further improvements.
