Nokia looks to increase photonic chip output

Nokia announced a significant expansion of its operations in Pennsylvania, increasing production capacity by up to tenfold. These new capabilities are expected to be commercially available by the end of Q3. The expansion aims to enhance the production of photonic network technologies, crucial for AI infrastructure. The project will also raise the site’s workforce to over 500 employees, reflecting the investment's importance.
