London-based startup Kaikaku.AI has launched three AI models named "Epicure" that distinguish whether an ingredient fits a recipe or is chemically related. These models were trained on 4.14 million recipes in seven languages and the FlavorDB flavor database, enabling them to provide precise recommendations. The chemistry-based model excels in classifying taste and nutritional values compared to recipe-based alternatives, despite not having direct access to that information. This innovation highlights the significance of understanding chemical compositions in enhancing culinary experiences.
