Apple Enables Siri to Perform Actions Across Third-Party Apps

Apple has announced that Siri will be able to perform actions across third-party apps in the upcoming iOS 27.3 update, set to roll out on Tuesday. This update allows developers to integrate Siri's new features into all apps, enabling the voice assistant to leverage a user's personal context and process natural language requests. Additionally, the update introduces a new feature called 'app skills,' which allows developers to create skills that combine multiple tasks into a single action. According to Apple's developer documentation, users will not need to mention an app's name when making requests, simplifying the user experience.
