Largest AMD inference cluster outside the US goes live in KSA

AMD, in collaboration with Saudi Arabia's PIF-owned HUMAIN, has launched new AI infrastructure powered by AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs. This infrastructure, which is AMD's largest inference cluster outside the USA, is now operational in Saudi Arabia, serving HUMAIN customers both locally and internationally. The three companies, AMD, Cisco, and HUMAIN, plan to deploy up to 250 megawatts of AI infrastructure starting in 2027, as part of a joint venture aiming for 1 gigawatt by 2030. This initiative signals a growing demand for sovereign AI compute services in the region, beyond just capacity figures.
