Expansion of European Supercomputing Network to Boost AI Capabilities

Europe has announced a €387.8 million project with the French company 'Bull' to expand its supercomputing network dedicated to artificial intelligence. This contract marks the largest in the company's history and aims to bridge the technological gap with the United States and China. The new supercomputer 'Lumi-AI' will be installed in Finland, targeting a tenfold increase in AI computing capacity compared to the current 'Lumi' system. This system will serve as the backbone for the AI factory, enhancing access to advanced computing resources.
