Tencent Hunyuan Releases Hy4 Preview, Ranking Among the Top Tier of Open-Source Models

Tencent has launched its Hy4 model, marking its third major release in six months, featuring 770 billion total parameters and 49 billion activated parameters. Hy4 demonstrates strong competitive capabilities in coding, office productivity, and scientific research, positioning it among the leading open-source models. The model is closely integrated with Tencent's products like WorkBuddy and CodeBuddy, developed through a model-product co-design approach. In an internal evaluation, Hy4 slightly outperformed GLM 5.3 and Kimi K3, reinforcing WorkBuddy's status as a leading productivity tool in China.
