Hugging Face’s new robot is an adorable rollerskating duck

Pollen Robotics, a subsidiary of Hugging Face, has launched its second AI robot, the Microduck, a biped standing just under 10 inches tall. Available for preorder at $399, it comes in cream, graphite, lavender, and sky blue, with shipping expected before Christmas 2026. Video demonstrations showcase the Microduck picking up socks and markers, playing with a ball, and zooming around on tiny roller skates. It can react to its surroundings, follow a laser pointer, or be controlled with a game controller, providing users with an engaging interactive experience.
