Otech and DeepAstra launch sovereign AI platform

Otech, a subsidiary of Omantel, and the Omani startup DeepAstra have launched the DeepAstra API, a locally hosted sovereign AI platform that provides businesses access to multiple AI models through a single interface. This platform enables Omani SMEs to overcome the barriers of building their own infrastructure by allowing pay-as-you-go access to AI models, which enhances data security and compliance. The launch addresses a market gap in Oman, where companies face a lack of sovereign AI solutions, facilitating their transition from experimentation to actual product development.
