Saudi Arabia adds 50 AI units to curriculum

Saudi Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan announced the addition of 50 new AI educational units to the national curriculum for the 2026-2027 academic year, along with updates to 22 existing subjects. These changes were unveiled at a press conference in Riyadh as part of a broader reform package that includes a new General Education Law, teacher training programs, and AI tools aimed at reducing administrative burdens on teachers. The new AI programs were developed in collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the national AI company Humain.
