ADNOC and SLB cut rig downtime with AI

ADNOC, in collaboration with global technology company SLB, has launched the Real-Time Operations Center (RTOC) platform across over 120 drilling rigs, integrating onshore and offshore operations into a unified monitoring system. The platform reduces engineering effort by 30-40%, allowing engineers to oversee two to three times more rigs while decreasing incident response times by 4-12 hours and preventing one to two days of rig downtime. This initiative is part of ADNOC's ambition to become the world's most AI-enabled energy group, leveraging innovative technologies to enhance planning and decision-making efficiency.
