Cisco introduces Antares: a family of super-efficient AI models for detecting software vulnerabilities

Cisco has announced the launch of Antares, a family of small language AI models designed specifically to identify security vulnerabilities in software codebases. These models operate locally, ensuring that sensitive data does not need to be sent to the cloud, thus maintaining privacy. Antares models are cost-effective and capable of functioning in secure environments within organizations, making them ideal for the public sector and universities. Fady Younes, Managing Director for Cybersecurity at Cisco, emphasized the critical need to secure complex software without compromising data privacy.
