Alibaba Qoder Open-Sources Better Harness: An Open-Source Analysis and Continuous Improvement Tool for Programming Agent Workflows From Alibaba Cloud

Alibaba Cloud announced the open-source release of its Qoder platform, Better Harness, on July 28, designed for analyzing and improving coding agent workflows. Better Harness bridges Harness Engineering practices with Loop Engineering, integrating engineering methodologies with evaluation models and runnable implementations. The framework features a three-layer open architecture, with the first layer covering Harness Engineering practices. This launch aims to establish Harness Engineering as a recognized discipline in AI-assisted software development, enabling the measurement and improvement of coding agent workflows across different platforms.
