Qatar University builds needle-free glucose wearable

Qatar University has developed GlucoWatch, a wearable device that estimates blood glucose levels without finger pricks or blood samples, utilizing AI to analyze physiological signals. Led by researcher Dr. Khalid Abualsaud and computer engineering students, the device estimates glucose readings from heart rate, blood pressure, and demographic data, sending results to a connected mobile app. A US patent application for this technology has been published.
