Google launches a cheaper alternative to large AI security models like Mythos

Google has announced the launch of Gemini 3.6 Flash alongside a new security model aimed at quickly identifying and patching security vulnerabilities. The Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber model is described as a cost-effective alternative to larger, pricier AI systems, such as Anthropic's Mythos. This model will first be available to governments and trusted partners through CodeMender, a security-focused coding agent, enabling rapid responses to security challenges.
