Huawei announced its public demonstration of the Atlas 950 SuperPoD, its most powerful AI computing hardware, at WAIC 2026. The system utilizes 64 NPU cards per cabinet, with up to 8,192 NPU cards interconnected through Huawei's proprietary Lingqu protocol, enabling high-speed communication across the entire cluster. The Atlas 950 SuperPoD delivers an impressive 8 ExaFLOPS at FP8 precision, surpassing the NVIDIA NVL144 system with 144 cards by achieving 6.7 times more computing power, 15 times the memory capacity, and 62 times the interconnect bandwidth. This positions the Atlas 950 as one of the most powerful AI supernodes globally.
