ADNOC Launches Heavy-Duty Inspection Robot to Enhance Environmental Safety

ADNOC has deployed a heavy-duty inspection robot from Taurob at the Al Taweelah natural gas compression station. This robot aims to enhance environmental health and safety standards by assigning routine inspection tasks to autonomous systems, thereby protecting personnel from field hazards. The robot utilizes LiDAR technology and 360-degree thermal cameras, enabling ADNOC engineers to accurately detect abnormal thermal spots. Additionally, ADNOC announced plans to develop the first operational heavy-duty robot in the energy sector under the Argos project, in collaboration with global companies such as Equinor and Petrobras.
