Attack of the killer script kiddies

In August, top cybersecurity teams gathered in Las Vegas for the DARPA challenge, where they deployed AI-driven error detection systems to analyze 54 million lines of code containing artificial errors introduced by DARPA. While the teams successfully identified most of the synthetic errors, their automated tools uncovered over ten errors that were not part of DARPA's input. These findings demonstrate the ability of automated systems to learn and adapt to security challenges, emphasizing the role of AI in enhancing cybersecurity.
