Siemens introduces AI system for automation engineering

Siemens has launched the Eigen Engineering Agent, an AI system for planning and validating automation engineering tasks. This system utilizes multi-step reasoning and self-correction, operating directly within engineering platforms to complete workflows from design to validation. The agent interprets project requirements, generates automation code, and configures industrial systems, ensuring outputs meet existing engineering standards. It connects to Siemens' TIA Portal, accessing project-specific data to align outputs with system configurations, including legacy environments.
